Three German Heer (Army) generals, from left to right: Generalleutnant Ernst Karl Julius Philipp (Kommandeur of 134.Infanterie-Division/XXXV.Armeekorps/9.Armee/Heeresgruppe Mitte), Generalleutnant Dipl.-Ing. Johann "Hans" Schlemmer, and Generalmajor Helmut Staedke (Chef des Generalstabes 9. Armee). At this time, Schlemmer (ex-commander of 134. Only 25 days after this picture was taken, Generalleutnant Ernst Philipp was killed in action near Bobruisk!
